I did it! The matchstick quilting is done and the quilt is bound.
I’m glad it’s done. I’m not sure if I will ever do another throw sized quilt with matchstick stitching, but I do know I’m not going to make the pattern again.
So, here’s a giveaway. Just leave a comment below and I’ll pick a random winner. The winner will receive the original pattern and a template for making the octagon shapes. It’s a fun pattern.
here’s a link to the prairie grass patterns website so you can see more about what you might win.
I'll pick a winner on Monday afternoon.

Well your finish turned out really cute! I can see why making it one time might be enough though. Love the colors too.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I have always wanted to try matchstick quilting, but I will probably start with something like a table topper.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt, including the matchstick quilting. That's a lot of quilting, lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is just outstanding! Looks just lovely. Matchstick was an excellent choice.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Love the Comma fabric and love the quilting although I agree it is tedious to do and also uses LOADS of thread!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt. Thanks for sharing and for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great quilt - but you'll never make it again - WHAATTT?
ReplyDeleteI'm here from FIUF! What a beautiful quilt and giveaway!
ReplyDeleteYou are the winner of the pattern. Let me know where to send it and I'll get it to you. There will be a surprise in there too.
DeleteI love your quilt - I'd love to make one too, I've been looking for this pattern!!
ReplyDeleteI think you are brave. I don't think a match stick quilt would be my first project. Maybe a table runner? Love your quilt though. Lots of work.
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique pattern design!
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern - I even have a FQ bundle of the Comma fabrics I could try it with. Thanks for the pattern giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThere's just something about certain patterns... you know that once you've made it, you're never going back there again! Mine was a houndstooth in grey & white... so much trimming of blocks! Love the Comma prints and your matchstick quilting is fab!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful quilt and the quilting is the finishing touch. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway. (shirparks@gmail.com)

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt! The quilting is perfect for it!
ReplyDeleteThe colors you used for your octagons are some of my favorites. I also liked your use of the white background.
